Our Mission

Establish throughout Scotland, a network of business leaders who, with counterparts in the French economy, through regular social and professional meetings, seminars and events, are able to create business opportunities.

In addition, FSBC will participate with other business clubs and institutions in holding events, where mutual aims are identified, and support public and private business agencies to promote links and encourage trade and commerce between France and Scotland.

Current Programme of Recent and Future Events in 2010:

All events include wine and snacks.

1.        June 15th  - RSNO –Oboe recital and talk at the French Institute. This was a wonderful performance which included Britten’s Temporal Variations by Emmanuel Laville and Scott Mitchell.

2.        July-August – Summer Celebration and AGM July 15th including drinks and snacks, a talk by Morven Chisholm of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and a wine tasting, run by Adrian Laird Craig.

3.        September 21st  -  The Autumn Get Together.  At  Henderson’s Gallery on Tuesday 21st  September for drinks. There will also be a short talk and an Exhibition – MacPherson’s Cave  - by Robert Powell.

4.        20th October – Provisionally a talk by a senior member of the National Museums of Scotland on Franco Scottish castles and architecture. Date and venue to be confirmed.


5.        Thursday November 18th is the date for the Beaujolais Nouveau tasting with Adrian Laird Craig. Venue to be decided.


6.        Wednesday December 1st   booked in Scottish Parliament at Holyrood for the TEPUK-sponsored joint event with the Cross Party Group of MSPs.
